Job description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Loan Partner to provide comprehensive support to mortgage loan officers throughout the loan lifecycle. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can independently manage loan files from initial application through submission while delivering excellent client support and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mortgage loan process from pre-qualification to loan submission in partnership with loan officers.
  • Analyze and structure loan scenarios based on borrower profiles and lender/investor requirements.
  • Review borrower financial documents including income, credit, assets, and liabilities for completeness and accuracy.
  • Calculate income for salaried, hourly, and self-employed borrowers in line with underwriting standards.
  • Run and evaluate DU/LP findings and prepare files for underwriting submission.
  • Register, submit, and monitor loan files through lender systems and portals.
  • Educate borrowers on loan options, interest rates, closing costs, and the overall mortgage process.
  • Prepare disclosures and maintain compliance with federal and state mortgage regulations.
  • Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, title companies, processors, and underwriters to ensure smooth loan progression.
  • Monitor loan milestones, identify potential issues, and help resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Support pipeline management to ensure deadlines and closing timelines are achieved.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of mortgage industry experience in roles such as Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Processor, or related positions.
  • Strong understanding of conventional lending guidelines, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac standards.
  • Hands-on experience with DU/LP systems, AUS findings review, and lender submission platforms.
  • Advanced income calculation skills, including experience with self-employed borrower analysis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities with confidence in explaining loan details to clients.
  • Experience using loan origination systems such as Encompass, Arive, LendingPad, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NMLS license is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs.
  • Experience working within broker-to-lender or third-party processing environments.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English candidates are highly preferred.
