About the Team
In Product Design, we drive and manage sample development from concept through to production, working hand-in-hand with Design, Technical Design, Merchants, and Sourcing team members.
About the Role
As a Seasonal Textiles Designer, you will support the development of new product lines across seasonal launches, ensuring designs reflect current trends, brand aesthetic, and business objectives. You will actively participate in product development meetings and serve as a key communicator between cross-functional partners, including agents, merchants, sourcing, and color teams. In collaboration with Senior Management, you will help ensure all deadlines and critical calendar milestones are met.
Beyond design execution, you will partner closely with the Director and Senior Designer to support team collaboration, workflow efficiency, and overall project alignment.
The ideal candidate brings a strong design aesthetic, relevant experience in textile or product design, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop). A passion for product development, combined with a hands-on approach to physical presentation and sample setup, is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Create new designs for textile products designs for all seasonal product lines (stockings, advent calendars, table runners/covers, chair-backers, Easter liners and baskets, and other seasonal décor).
- Collaborate closely with product development, production, and sourcing teams to ensure design intent is maintained through to final product.
- Work closely with overseas merchants and vendors to develop product with key deadlines top of mind and ensuring all samples are deliver for key presentations.
- Conduct trend and material research to stay ahead in the market and suggest innovative design directions.
- Translate design briefs into market-ready textile patterns and products.
- Design and develop specs and concept boards while managing concept all the way through product approval.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in techniques and products.
- Proactively support calendar to recognize milestones and key dates.
Criteria
- This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office
- Minimum 4 years retail product design experience with a degree in Design or equivalent experience (Textiles/home/fashion).
- Must have an aspirational taste-level with passion for interiors, home furnishings, color, designer aesthetic, and industry trends.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Must to be able to render digital sketches, specs, visual presentations of design concepts.
- Comfortable with hands-on work, including physical display or showroom setup.
- Must be able to craft, sew by hand or machine, and execute details on physical samples.
- Comfortable with presenting design assortment to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong eye for color, texture, and pattern.
- Understanding and enthusiasm for the brand
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience designing (category specific product); keeping materials and pricing in mind.
- Experience in identifying and contributing trends and inspiration based on the given concept direction.
- Desire to continue to learn and adapt as processes evolve within the company.
- Must provide a portfolio or website of current and past works.
- (A plus) Domestic and overseas experience collaborating with factories, understanding price adjustment to reflect brand aesthetic.
- (A plus) Knowledge of constructions and fit execution.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $80.000 - $85,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
