Job description

As a Dagne Dover intern, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about real-world product design in the fashion and accessories industry. You’ll work with our Product Design team and gain hands-on exposure to how bags and accessories are designed, developed, and brought to life.

This internship is ideal for students who are excited about designing bags and accessories and who want to learn how ideas turn into finished products on shelves. If you’re curious, motivated, and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

We’re looking for a Fall Product Design Intern. You’ll support the design team as they work on new collections and products, and you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the entire product development process — from early sketches to samples and production.

You may help with:

  • Sketching and concept development

  • Creating and updating design files and technical drawings

  • Researching materials, trims, and colors

  • Assisting with samples and revisions

  • Organizing design assets and supporting the team day to day

This role focuses on physical product design (bags and accessories) and is not a digital, UX/UI, or graphic design internship.

Internship candidates must be available 3–4 days per week.

You

  • Are currently studying product design, fashion design, or a related field

  • Are curious, positive, and eager to learn

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment

  • Take initiative and like problem solving

  • Have some design experience through coursework, school projects, or internships

  • Are comfortable learning new tools and processes

  • Have working knowledge of Illustrator and Procreate (we’ll teach you more!)

  • Are detail-oriented and highly organized

The expected hourly rate is $20.00.

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.

Founded in 2013, Dagne Dover is a digitally native, women-owned brand that designs problem-solving bags for all aspects of life. At its core, our company is aimed at making lives easier through empathy and good design. We love people, and we love making people happy.

Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging are important to us, as a diverse team ourselves. We’ve created a community where everyone’s uniqueness is celebrated, respected, and honored. We encourage you to apply if you think it sounds like a good fit for you!
