Graphic Designer – Album Artwork, Content Video Editing & Merch Design

Judge & Jury Records is seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Artist with a strong creative eye and experience designing for music and artists. This role will focus on creating assets such as album and single artwork, merchandise, promotional graphics, basic video content, and other visual assets for our artists and label projects. This role begins with a short trial period, with the intention of transitioning the right candidate into a permanent position on our team.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and understands how to combine traditional design skills with modern AI tools. Candidates should also be capable of basic video editing and comfortable using CapCut, Adobe After Effects, or similar video-editing software.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable using AI as part of the creative process while still maintaining complete control over composition, typography, branding, and final execution. All work must be carefully refined and delivered at a polished, professional level.

Responsibilities

  • Design album covers, single artwork, and supporting release assets
  • Create original merchandise designs for apparel and other physical products
  • Develop promotional graphics for social media, digital advertising, websites, email campaigns, and print
  • Create and edit short-form videos, promotional clips, animated graphics, and other basic video content
  • Use AI tools creatively alongside traditional graphic-design techniques
  • Edit and enhance AI-generated images to correct imperfections and produce clean, professional artwork
  • Prepare production-ready files for digital platforms, merchandise printing, packaging, and other physical formats
  • Adapt designs into multiple sizes and formats while maintaining visual consistency
  • Collaborate with our creative and marketing teams to develop concepts that reflect each artist’s identity
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within established deadlines
  • Organize and maintain editable source files

Required Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Willing to work outside of standard business hours as needed to accommodate release schedules, meet deadlines, and handle time-sensitive projects.
  • Basic video-editing proficiency using CapCut, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software
  • Examples of previous work is required
  • Experience creating album artwork, music-related graphics, or entertainment marketing materials
  • Experience in merch designs and vector artwork
  • Experience incorporating AI tools into a professional design workflow
  • Strong photo-editing, compositing, retouching and layout skills
  • Ability to identify and correct common issues in AI-generated artwork
  • Ability to take creative direction, incorporate feedback, and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and file-preparation standards
  • Reliable communication and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal follow-up

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with musicians, record labels, entertainment brands or merchandise companies
  • Knowledge of print production, color modes, bleed, resolution, separations, and merchandise specifications
  • Experience creating short-form videos and motion graphics for social media
  • An understanding of rock, alternative, and heavy-music visual styles

How to Apply

Please submit examples and links to previous work. Samples should include relevant album or single artwork, merch designs, photo manipulation, promotional graphics, and any projects that demonstrate your graphic-design skills & techniques.

Please also include examples of video editing or motion graphics work, if available.
