The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design, fluency in applying AI to the design craft, a passion for innovation, and a record of delivering successful products in a fast-paced environment

  • Champion human-centered design principles throughout the organization, advocating for the needs of our participants at every step of the journey.
  • Serve as Wondr’s biggest advocate for user experience, elevating UX as a strategic priority across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and the executive team, and building organizational fluency in what great UX looks like.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure that product design aligns with brand strategy and messaging.
  • Partner with product management and engineering teams to define product requirements and deliver innovative design solutions.
  • Provide UX/UI support for planned and in-progress feature development as well as directional concepts and prototypes for future features.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, components, variants, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across all products and platforms.
  • Establish key metrics and KPI’s to monitor and track our product’s usability.
  • Maintain and evolve Wondr’s design system and ensure our products meet accessibility guidelines.
  • Drive Wondr’s AI-enabled UX strategy: identify, pilot, and scale AI-powered design tools and workflows (research synthesis, generative ideation, content and copy generation, prototyping, design QA, and personalization) across the Design organization.
  • Partner with Engineering to embed AI-enabled design and development practices into the end-to-end product workflow, ensuring designers and developers share a common toolchain and quality bar for AI-assisted output.
  • Define standards, guardrails, and review processes for AI-generated design artifacts so that speed gains do not compromise accessibility, brand, or participant trust.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of UX/UI designers, setting clear expectations, career paths, and performance standards.
  • Plan headcount, hiring, and resourcing to match product roadmap demands and business priorities.
  • Oversee and guide the work to ensure it meets Wondr’s design standards and principles.
  • Foster a culture of honest feedback, experimentation, and continuous learning, including upskilling the team on AI-enabled design practices.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our products and processes.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with a focus on creating intuitive and delightful user experiences.
  • Proven ability to act as an organizational advocate for UX, influencing executives and cross-functional partners to invest in user experience as a competitive advantage.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
