Scanning Clerks are responsible for performing aisle scanning audits to ensure accuracy of pricing file, greeting all customers and providing them with prompt, courteous service and assistance. Individuals will ensure effective, timely communications with all departments.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately complete all weekly price changes transmitted to the store file from Uncle Giuseppe's to include both checking for and correcting any discrepancies
  • Maintain the accuracy of the pricing file to match weekly sales, circulars and/or newspaper ads
  • Maintain UPC program by separating, sorting, and properly placing UPC tags
  • Maintain pricing integrity on the sales floor by ensuring that all items are properly signed, tagged, and scanned correctly
  • Check prices and be knowledgeable about location of items in the store
  • Perform weekly aisle Scanning audits to ensure accuracy of pricing file
  • Maintains adequate and appropriate department records at all times. Updates pricing log changes weekly.
  • Other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be very detail oriented with the ability to recognize numbers that might not be in sequence or may be out of order
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language
  • Must have patience for detailed work
