Job description

Overview
We are working with a freight forwarding/logistics company who is seeking Forklift Warehouse Operator on a temp to hire basis. The ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and an eagerness to learn along with the ability to follow direction.  Might include weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities

  • Cargo receiving (piece counts, weights/dimensions, shipper information).
  • Moving freight to TSA screening areas.
  • Responsible for receiving and sending email correspondences to clients and supplier network.
  • Building ULDs (Unit Load Devices).
  • Labeling freight.
  • Using spreadsheets to prioritize daily workflow.
  • Experience in operating a Forklift a plus, but not required. Must be open to training.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems and scanners to track cargo.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.

Skills

  • Warehouse experience is a plus but not required; company open to trainable candidates from non-related prior roles as long as they are willing to learn warehouse operations.
  • Forklift experience - 2 years
  • Excellent communication skills including reading and writing.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using Excel and Microsoft Teams preferred.

Certifications & Security: All roles require willingness to obtain forklift certification; client can assist with certification via internal safety program.
