Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Specialist - SAP Basis Administration. The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.

What you'll do: Job Summary This role is responsible for the architecture, administration, and continuous optimization of SAP technical platforms, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and SAP BTP. The Senior SAP Basis Administrator ensures high availability, performance, security, and compliance of SAP systems across the enterprise.

The position drives automation, standardization, and operational excellence across SAP landscapes, including system provisioning, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and incident resolution. The role partners closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and business teams to deliver stable, compliant, and scalable SAP environments supporting global business operations. Job Responsibilities Core SAP Platform Operations Performance & Stability Engineering * Administer and support SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO/CPI, SAP BTP) ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance * Perform SAP installations, upgrades, Support Package Stacks, Enhancement Packs, and kernel updates across multiple environments * Manage SAP transport management system (TMS) and coordinate cross-landscape transport activities * Monitor SAP systems (availability, performance, dumps, locks, background jobs) and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime * Manage SAP landscape lifecycle, including system provisioning, refreshes, archiving, and decommissioning * Support SAP HANA database administration activities including backup, recovery, and performance tuning * Lead technical planning and execution for system upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives * Manage SAP environments in cloud and hybrid infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, RISE with SAP) Monitoring, Alerting, and Observability * Design and implement monitoring frameworks * Develop alerting logic and remediation workflows * Analyze system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, DB performance) using OS and SAP tools * Maintain and tune monitoring thresholds and alert conditions Automation & Tooling * Develop and maintain custom automation scripts for SAP operations * Build internal utilities for performance tracking, system health, and data collection * Drive automation of SAP Basis operations, including system refreshes, client copies, monitoring, and deployment activities Security & Compliance * Support audit requests and compliance checks * Maintain secure configurations for SAP and infrastructure * Ensure SAP systems comply with internal cybersecurity policies, audit requirements, and SAP security notes Disaster Recovery & Resilience* Execute DR testing and recovery procedures * Manage failover and system recovery operations Documentation, Knowledge Transfer, and Governance * Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks * Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and mentor team members Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors' degree from an accredited Minimum ten (10) years in SAP Basis Administration Working experience ECC & S/4 environment Understanding of SAP system architecture (application, database, integration layers) No relocation is offered for this position
