Job Description

Join the Salomon Marketing Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of performance marketing across North America!

As our Senior Marketing Manager, Performance, you will lead the co-creation and execution of impactful marketing strategies across running and outdoor categories, fully aligned with our global vision. From seasonal campaigns to major product launches, you'll bring our brand to life in the region, ensuring every initiative resonates with consumers and drives performance.

You will act as the central hub of the Go-to-Market marketing ecosystem, orchestrating cross-functional collaboration to deliver cohesive, high-impact campaigns. Your focus: designing exceptional consumer experiences that elevate the Salomon brand and strengthen our leadership in the performance space.

Working closely with regional marketing teams, you will ensure alignment, consistency, and excellence across all touchpoints-translating global strategy into locally relevant, inspiring execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Public Relations and Strategic Planning

  • Coordinate with global and local PR teams to develop and execute annual Performance plans, supporting the local PR strategy.
  • Provide actionable consumer insights to global teams and report on key marketing performance indicators (KPIs).

Event Management and Activation

  • Manage and support the Sports & Community Marketing Manager as they spearhead event management, consumer experience activations, community programming, and strategic partnerships for the category.
  • Collaborate on epicenter planning and high-impact activations.
  • Drive and oversee special projects as required, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Marketing and Campaigns

  • Partner with the trade marketing team to strategize and consult on marketing initiatives with key accounts.
  • Consult on category-specific training programs for shop professionals, enhancing their expertise and performance with the regional training leads
  • Support D2C teams (ecomm and owned retail) to ensure category alignment for product launches
  • Consult with Field Marketing team on seasonal playbooks
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of comprehensive campaign briefings and reports in partnership with the Integrated Marketing Manager
  • Ensure the fulfillment of content requirements, proper distribution of assets, and oversee local content strategy, budgeting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with Performance merchandising and sales leadership to define and manage the local Performance calendar across all channels.
  • Oversee the Performance marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in sports & performance marketing roles, encompassing product marketing, community partnerships, event management, and content creation/briefing.
  • High level budget management experience
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams through effective project briefing and teamwork.
  • Experienced in implementing and co-creating strategic plans that align with company goals.
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Proficient in providing actionable insights from the North American fashion/lifestyle industry.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with global/local experience being an advantage.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Skilled in identifying and reporting on the return on investment for category projects.
  • Ability to travel 30% of time

Salary Range: 
At the time of this posting, the estimated base salary range in New York is $140,000 - $160,000 USD. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, job-specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
