Job Description
The 'Key Account Executive - Premium Lifestyle' is responsible for leading and growing Salomon's strategic partnerships with Nordstrom and other Key Accounts across all relevant product categories within the channel. This role owns the account business plans and is accountable for driving revenue, profitability, forecast accuracy, assortment execution, and long-term growth.
As the primary commercial leader for the account, the Key Account Executive serves as the voice of the customers internally while ensuring Salomon's brand objectives and commercial priorities are effectively represented within Nordstrom and other key accounts. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, business planning capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and executive relationship management.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing large-scale retail partnerships, navigating complex organizations, diligent order book management, and driving profitable growth within fast-paced consumer environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
Strategic Business Ownership
  • Develop and execute annual and multi-year account growth strategies aligned with Salomon's business objectives.
  • Build multi-year growth plans aligned with Salomon's business objectives.
  • Lead Joint Business Planning processes and align commercial objectives and establish measurable growth initiatives with key account stakeholders.
  • Monthly/Quarterly shipment execution and ability to clearly communicate needs and updates to key stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Identify and clearly articulate opportunities for demand creation, expanded distribution and increased market share within the respective account base while strategically balancing demand capture and driving a pull marketplace

Revenue & Profitability Management
  • Own account revenue, margin, forecast, and profitability targets.
  • Manage account performance against seasonal plans and growth objectives.
  • Monitor sales trends, inventory productivity, replenishment opportunities, and open-to-buy dynamics.
  • Recommend corrective actions to improve performance and mitigate risks.

Assortment & Merchandising Strategy
  • Lead seasonal assortment planning and line presentations.
  • Partner with Nordstrom and other key account merchants to develop consumer-relevant assortments.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, inventory plans, and business objectives.
  • Influence placement, presentation, and product investment decisions that enhance brand visibility and sales performance.

Cross-Functional Business Management
  • Coordinate closely with Planning, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Ensure successful execution of product launches, promotions, and seasonal transitions.
  • Resolve operational challenges and support customer satisfaction.
  • Manage forecasting and order management activities throughout the sales cycle.

Executive Relationship Management
  • Develop strong relationships across merchant, planning, digital, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and performance discussions.
  • Represent Salomon as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Advocate internally for customer opportunities and priorities.

Consumer & Marketplace Insights
  • Monitor retail trends, competitive activity, and consumer demand signals.
  • Provide recommendations that improve category performance and drive growth.
  • Use data and insights to influence customer decisions and support business planning.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and consumer insights to support internal planning throughout the organization.
  • Identify emerging opportunities to strengthen Salomon's brand presence and commercial performance.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  • 5-8+ years of wholesale sales, key account, or national account management experience.
  • Experience in Sales, Merchandising or Planning managing strategic retail partners in the Premium Lifestyle space such as Nordstrom, Free People, Urban Outfitters, Journeys.
  • Experience in managing high volume Men's, Women's, Unisex and Kids businesses
  • Strong understanding of premium wholesale and omnichannel retail environments.
  • Demonstrated business planning, forecasting, and financial management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize the needs of the brand and the business between both internal stakeholders and senior customer decision-makers.
