Purchasing Specialist
The Purchasing Specialist supports companyโ€™s rapidly growing purchasing activities. This newly created role is essential for our product development and global sourcing. ย  We are a small and busy team. Start up spirit is a must. This position has great upward growth potential for the right candidate.ย 
ย 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably from any business major. ย 
  • English / Chinese bi-lingual is strongly preferred.ย 
  • 1 to 3 years professional work experience. ย 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with absolute attention to details.ย 
  • Multitasking ability: โ€œCan Doโ€ attitude is crucial for this position. ย 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required.ย 
  • Comfortable learning new software and new technologies.ย 
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures is a plus.ย 
  • Experience with shipping, logistics, or purchasing is preferred.ย 
ย 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase automotive product samples under the direction of product development team, both online orders and offline purchases from local stores.
  • Manage sample receiving process, including sample check in, locating correct part number, printing out labels, maintaining clear record. ย 
  • Manage and update purchasing information in the ERP system to ensure error-free buying activities and record keeping.ย 
  • Ship sample load overseas under the direction of global logistics team; creating shipping documents, contacting carriers, maintaining billing and payment records, and providing import / export custom support. ย 
  • Assist in the overseas vendor PO shipping as needed: selecting US carriers for ocean / air shipping, inputting shipping data and generating documents.ย 
  • Work with vendors on PO shipping follow ups.ย 
  • Create ongoing tracking reports under the direction of the management team.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.ย

  • This is a full-time, in-office position located in Irvine, CA.
