Job description

Overview

The Strategy Analyst will be a foundational member of Lakeview’s Consumer Direct Strategy team, supporting one of the company’s largest and most critical business lines – a direct-to-consumer mortgage platform serving customers nationwide within Bayview Asset Management, a $39B global alternative investment manager. In this role, you will operate as an internal consultant on Lakeview’s highest-priority initiatives across growth, operations, and transformation.

This role is an accelerated development path for high-potential early-career talent seeking to build consulting-grade problem-solving, analytics, and business leadership skills. The Analyst will partner closely with former strategy consultants and senior executives, gaining exposure to how decisions are developed and executed across a multi-billion-dollar platform.

The role mirrors top-tier consulting environments, with the added benefit of seeing strategies through execution and measurable impact. This is a high-performance environment with elevated expectations for ownership, quality, and pace. Analysts are positioned to grow into senior strategy and business leadership roles within Lakeview or the broader Bayview Asset Management organization.

The Strategy Analyst will drive structured problem solving, data analysis, and executive-ready deliverables across initiatives. The role offers exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Finance), while building a consulting toolkit including hypothesis-driven problem solving, presentation development, financial modeling, and executive storytelling.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Monthly Business Review process, contributing to strategic initiatives (including M&A, operational improvements, digital initiatives, and go-to-market strategy), and informing strategic decisions.

This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $95,000, plus an annual bonus. You\'ll also receive our excellent benefits package, which includes medical coverage starting on day one and a company-matched 401(k). Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Analytical Workstreams

  • Drive analytical workstreams for high-priority strategic initiatives by conducting complex analyses, building models, and synthesizing insights into structured, executive-ready PowerPoint storylines under the direction of the Senior Analyst.
  • Analyze business performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to growth, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and structured, actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders.

Executive & Stakeholder Deliverables

  • Develop executive-ready presentations, analyses, and materials for senior leadership, including Monthly Business Reviews and strategic initiative updates.
  • Build clear, structured storylines that communicate complex ideas with precision, aligning to consulting-style communication standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, pressure-test assumptions, and refine recommendations.

Program & Initiative Execution

  • Own tracking, milestone management, and issue identification across key transformation initiatives and workstreams.
  • Support program and change management activities, including initiatives updates, risk identification, progress reporting, and communications.
  • Contribute to high-impact projects spanning operational improvement, digital enablement, customer acquisition, and strategic planning.

Learning & Development

  • Learn and apply consulting methodologies, including hypothesis-driven problem solving, structured frameworks (MECE), business case development, and executive-level storytelling.
  • Build foundational knowledge of the mortgage and financial services ecosystem through hands-on project work.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data and Analytics, or a related field; no mortgage experience or knowledge is required
  • Demonstrated academic excellence (e.g., GPA of 3.7+ or equivalent) in a highly rigorous program preferred.
  • 0–2 years of high-performance experience, including internships or roles in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, analytics, finance, or operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure problems, work with data, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to create clear, structured presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to clarity and structure.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning complex business topics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, entrepreneurial environments.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and accountability in all aspects of work.
  • Internship or project experience in consulting, financial services, technology, or corporate strategy preferred.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or SQL is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working in team-based, fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders preferred.
