Job description

Job Duties: Ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain sales support and customer management processes for our domestic and imported standard pipe businesses. Oversee the entire supply chain cycle for import and domestic USA standard pipe business, ensuring accurate and timely order processing in ERP systems and interacting with all relevant commercial and operational parties, including Inside Sales, Planning, Production, Shipment, Logistics, and Quality. Manage monthly MRP reporting, advising BBT Gemlik and BPU Baytown planning departments on production mix needs while maintaining a healthy stock mix for both import and domestic standard pipe businesses. Monitor inventory levels and sales figures monthly to establish and periodically adjust min-max stock levels for both import and domestic standard pipe businesses. Ensure timely production and shipment, periodically reviewing and maintaining orders in the system, minimizing production delays, and addressing idle or excess stocks. Collaborate closely with quality, operations, and planning teams to build new line items in the ERP system. Manage idle or excess stocks by periodically offering and selling these stocks to customers. Track and resolve any damage, shortages, overages, or shipping errors by collecting required credit/debit notes and processing them in the system, ensuring timely claim payments. Develop new business opportunities, manage assigned accounts, respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information, pricing, and availability. Maintain close contact with internal and external operational and logistics service providers to meet shipment deadlines, implement continuous process improvements to shorten delivery times and effectively use existing ERP systems for tracking pipe movement. Coordinate with thirdโ€‘party entities for storage and logistics services, ensuring operational effectiveness and reporting monthly on activities at these locations. Actively participate in inventory cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations. Collect offers from multiple trucking companies and manage trucking services for both import and domestic standard pipe businesses, collaborating with BPU logistics teams and thirdโ€‘party warehouse operations to expedite urgent order shipments. Monitor the Accounts Receivable report weekly, send payment reminders to customers, and provide relevant Proof of Delivery documents to settle shipment quantity discrepancies. Assist BPU Standard Pipe business marketing efforts, including creating product line sheets, updating the website etc. as needed. Continuously review and improve areas in the ERP system to increase efficiencies in system use, reporting, analysis, and forecasting.

Requirements: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field and 3 years of experience in a sales operations or supply chain managementโ€‘related occupation. Position also requires 3 years of experience with:

  • Sales operations, supply chain management, or logistics, within the manufacturing or steel pipe industry;
  • ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft, etc.), inventory management processes, and data analysis and reporting programs;
  • Domestic and import shipping processes and regulations;
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, production facilities, or thirdโ€‘party logistics locations;
  • Steel pipe products, including knowledge of product specifications, coating types, applications, and sizes.
