Job description

Project Manager, Baseball
Reports to: Head of Baseball
Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent
Location: Atlanta, GA required.
Role Overview
Hawk-Eye Innovations is seeking a Project Manager to oversee baseball system installation projects from contract signature through to handover into live operations. This role plans and coordinates procurement, kit assembly, resource allocation and scheduling to ensure each new venue is delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards. While deeply collaborative with technical teams, the Project Manager does not design system architecture or run day-to-day operations; those sit with Systems & Sales Engineering and Operations, respectively.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering milestones, budgets, staffing and logistics.
  • Coordinate tasks and dependencies among Sales/Systems Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, TechOps, Contractors (Phase 1) and Installation (Phase 2).
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting scope, timeline or cost; maintain a risk register and recovery plans.

Procurement & Kit Management
  • Work with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure hardware, spares and tools are sourced, built and staged according to kit lists.
  • Manage shipping schedules and inventory for domestic and international installations; validate BoMs and kit completeness with Systems & Sales Engineering.
  • Track contractor resource utilisation for Phase 1 infrastructure builds and coordinate handoffs for Phase 2 system installs.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders once the contract is signed.
  • Organise and lead regular project review meetings with internal teams and clients; provide weekly status reports to leadership and customers.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, playbooks and checklists; ensure lessons learned are captured and fed back into processes.

Your Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years managing complex technical implementations or construction projects.
  • Strong project‑management skills; proficiency with project planning and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to stadiums and labs (up to 25 %).

Desirable Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in sports technology, broadcast or live‑event production.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project‑management certification.
  • Familiarity with camera systems, networking and compute hardware; experience working with MLB, MiLB or collegiate athletics organisations.

Why This Is the Right Opportunity for You
This position is perfect for you if you're looking to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class baseball data to leagues, teams and fans, while shaping operational excellence in a fast-growing, technology-driven environment. You'll bring order and pace to complex, multi-stakeholder installation projects, ensuring every new venue lands smoothly and sets live operations up to succeed.
This role is not a Systems Engineer or Sales Engineer, TechOps Director, Operations Manager or overall budget owner; it's responsible for project budgets, not departmental P&L, and focused on delivery rather than hardware design, platform deployment or post-handover staffing.
At Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth. We look forward to receiving your application and exploring how you can contribute to the future of sports entertainment at Sony Sports.
Team Culture
At Hawk-Eye, we pride ourselves on a collaborative, high-performance culture where trust, passion, and innovation thrive. We believe in fostering an environment where every team member is empowered to push boundaries and contribute to the future of sports technology. Our work is guided by three core values:
  • We are Brave: We challenge the status quo, embrace big ideas, and constantly seek new ways to innovate in the sports entertainment industry. We aren't afraid to take risks in pursuit of excellence.
  • We are Owners: We take personal accountability for our work, our decisions, and our collective success. We celebrate our wins together and treat every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve.
  • We are Inclusive: We believe our diversity makes us stronger. We cultivate a welcoming environment where unique perspectives are valued, all while being united by our shared love for sports and technology.
