THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a technically strong and customer-focused Sales Engineer / Solutions Consultant to support the full customer buying journey for their GovTech SaaS platform. This role partners closely with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, deliver tailored product demonstrations, design scalable solutions, and guide customers through complex technical evaluations. The ideal candidate combines strong communication and consultative skills with hands-on technical expertise and thrives in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. This position also works cross-functionally with implementation, customer success, product, and engineering teams to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales through onboarding and long-term customer success.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, design workshops, and proof-of-value engagements for prospective customers.

  • Translate customer goals and operational challenges into clear, value-driven, SaaS solutions.

  • Partner with Account Executives to support complex technical sales cycles and expansion opportunities.

  • Create and maintain technical sales materials including solution designs, integration documentation, security responses, and RFP content.

  • Serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders including IT teams, communication leaders, clerks, and executive leadership.

  • Collaborate with implementation and customer success teams to support complex onboarding efforts, integrations, escalations, and technical health reviews.

  • Evaluate customer systems and workflows to identify integration opportunities across platforms such as CRM, SSO, AV/streaming, ERP, and agenda management systems.

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope customer requirements and provide structured feedback from the field.

  • Develop scalable enablement resources including demo environments, technical playbooks, integration patterns, and reusable solution assets.

  • Utilize AI-powered tools and coding assistants to accelerate solution design, technical research, documentation, and workflow efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.

  • Proven experience supporting SaaS sales cycles including technical discovery, demos, solution design, and customer evaluations.

  • Strong technical aptitude with familiarity in modern web applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based architectures.

  • Experience working with technologies such as live streaming, conferencing platforms, webRTC, telephony, AV systems, or other real-time technologies is highly preferred.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical discussions including security reviews, RFP responses, and technical escalations.

  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or technical productivity tools to improve workflow efficiency and problem solving.

  • Strong consultative and customer-first mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguous challenges and deliver practical solutions.

  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • GovTech, public-sector, accessibility, or government meeting software experience is a plus.
