A Brief Overview
As a Director, ASO Sales at TriNet you'll influence the productivity, results, culture and professionalism of your sales team while delivering the sales plan for an assigned industry vertical on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will be accountable for all frontline, local and national Sales activities and production through strong business planning and collaborative sales actions to ensure results. To be successful in this position, you will need to have a passion for building, developing, and inspiring a team of world class sales representatives who prospect and sell TriNet's comprehensive HR solution while ensuring they are able to meet their sales quota through regular coaching, managing to activity metrics, daily inspection of calendars, and overall execution of the entire sales process. You will also be responsible for building a team-based culture of engaging and fulfilling work.
What you will do

  • Motivate, encourage, develop, and lead a team of high performing ASO Sales Consultants.
  • Hire, attract and retain top sales talent through exceptional leadership and disciplined selling and managing cadence.
  • Inspect and hold your team accountable to sales activity, weekly goals, and calendars.
  • Observe and coach your reps through weekly team meetings, one on ones, ride-alongs and call shadowing.
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets through execution of a standardized management operating rhythm.
  • Drive team performance and accelerate deals by removing internal barriers, anticipating and resolving conflicts and celebrating success.
  • Follow the published TriNet Sales Methodology for territory planning, pipeline reviews, opportunity reviews and forecasting, as well as hiring, coaching and development practices.
  • Meet or exceed forecast commitment to Executive Director within published Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the development and implementation of quarterly and annual business plans.
  • Build referral and business partner ecosystem to support sales goals.
  • Work collaboratively across industry verticals to develop team's industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Drive demand generation activities and local marketing events to support brand awareness for TriNet.
  • Build strong internal support network with cross-functional colleagues including: Pricing, Risk, Legal, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, and HR to support velocity in deal and opportunity negotiation.
  • Drive rigor in the sales culture through effective coaching, on the on-the-job training, mentoring, diligent process adherence and quality monitoring
  • Work closely with your Field counterparts to drive lead activity (Pitch and Pivots)
  • Help drive an ecosystem for your team, including brokers, CPA's, FA's, Fractional CFO's and others
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 3+ years successful sales management experience, preferably leading a field-sales team required
  • Typically 3+ years experience in consultative sales, B2B sales experience required
  • Proven PEO, HCM and/or ASO experience required

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to navigate a complex sales process with multiple partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate successfully at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proven financial acumen.
  • Experience with technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office and Salesforce.com.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Proven ability to influence C-level executives and help direct reports drive new client business.
  • Ability to forecast and manage quota.
  • Ability to demonstrate financial acuity by understanding key financial reports and measures (e.g., P&L, Balance sheet, profitability measures, etc.).
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of sales revenue model to maintain predictable regional profitability through pipeline and clients.
  • Strong Excel skills to be able to analyze a prospect's hard and soft costs and translate that into a persuasive economic presentation.

Travel Requirements
A minimum of 25% travel is required in your assigned geography.

The preferred location for this role is Irvine, CA, and the salary range for this location is $121,000.00 to $165,000.00.  All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Irvine.  All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Irvine and may be considered for remote hire at the company's discretion. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience. 

Candidates hired into roles in the sales organization are also eligible for commissions consistent with TriNet's commission plan.
