We are seeking an experienced Network Access Control (NAC) Manager to support the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of our Network Access Control (NAC) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) programs. This role serves as a key technical contributor within our cybersecurity and IT organization, helping ensure secure, efficient access across corporate, remote, SaaS, IoT, and VPN environments while supporting our continued Zero Trust security initiatives.

This position combines hands-on technical support, systems administration, and project-based work. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting capabilities, experience supporting identity and access technologies, and the ability to quickly adapt to new environments while balancing operational responsibilities with longer-term initiatives.

Location - Eugene, OR (Hybrid)

This is a hybrid role based in Eugene, Oregon. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the office or be willing to relocate. During onboarding and ramp-up, employees are expected to work onsite full-time before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do
  • Support the ongoing evolution, administration, and optimization of Network Access Control (NAC) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) capabilities.
  • Manage daily support tickets and provide hands-on technical support for access management, authentication, and related systems.
  • Serve as a Tier 2 escalation resource, troubleshooting and resolving complex access, identity, authentication, and system-related issues.
  • Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise access controls aligned with Zero Trust security principles.
  • Implement, maintain, and improve Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise platforms.
  • Oversee access governance, identity lifecycle management, and authentication services to ensure secure and efficient user access.
  • Partner with IT, Security, Human Resources, Legal, and business stakeholders to support secure onboarding, offboarding, and access management activities.
  • Contribute to initiatives focused on role-based access control (RBAC), access governance, and process improvements that strengthen security and operational efficiency.
  • Lead with automation efforts that improve identity management workflows, reduce operational risk, and enhance user experience.
  • Provide technical administration and support for technologies such as 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, network segmentation, and enterprise access control solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and support remediation efforts related to access control, authentication, identity, and security-related incidents.
  • Manage and support ticketing workflows and project activities, including work tracked through platforms such as Jira.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute assigned projects, system enhancements, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations, licensing, and performance management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance security posture, regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and user access experiences.
  • Provide technical recommendations, project updates, and subject matter expertise related to access management initiatives and program performance.
  • Support emerging technology initiatives, including AI-enabled workflow improvements and related technology projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technical support, systems administration, infrastructure, network operations, identity and access management, or a related technology field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) and/or Network Access Control (NAC) environments.
  • Strong experience providing Tier 2 or higher technical support, including troubleshooting and break/fix resolution.
  • Experience supporting Single Sign-On (SSO), authentication services, access control processes, or identity-related technologies.
  • Experience managing support tickets and operational workflows in Jira or similar ticketing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    • Network Access Control (NAC)
    • Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • Zero Trust security principles
    • 802.1X, RADIUS, and TACACS+
    • Network segmentation and access governance
  • Ability to balance operational support responsibilities with project-based work.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and business teams to implement solutions, improve processes, and support organizational change.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting SaaS-based identity and access management environments.
  • Experience implementing or supporting role-based access control (RBAC) initiatives.
  • Consulting experience or experience supporting multiple technical environments.
  • Experience managing or administering enterprise ticketing systems and support workflows.
  • Experience supporting cloud-first and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working within systems engineering, cybersecurity, or infrastructure-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with automation, AI-enabled technologies, or workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Security+, Azure, networking, or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale security, identity, or access management programs.
