About the Role
Are you detail-oriented with a strong background in media or publishing? A premier media organization is seeking a Temporary Royalty Administrator to maintain contract data, drive quarterly reporting processes, and ensure accurate, timely royalty distributions. This is a fully remote position operating on East Coast hours, where you will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Enter and maintain royalty contract and payment terms in rights and royalty systems.
  • Reporting & Payments: Oversee quarterly reporting, payment calculations, and statement distributions to meet tight contractual deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve processing or reporting errors efficiently.
  • Workflow & Tracking: Use cross-functional ticketing systems (like Jira) to track, manage, and complete tasks on time.
  • Vendor Setup: Facilitate vendor setup across accounting and royalty platforms.
  • Stakeholder Support: Serve as a primary liaison for internal and external royalty/payment inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in intellectual property, media, or publishing.
  • Software Expertise: 2-4 years of hands-on experience with royalty, contract, or rights management software (experience with RightsLine is a must; Alliant or Vistex are a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency (must be comfortable with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Core Competencies: Strong contract-reading skills, excellent organization, and sharp analytical focus.
