We are looking for a Senior Royalty Analyst to join our Business Management and Family Office. As a Senior Royalty Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the royalty management function, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of global royalty income streams.
  • Manage and mentor analysts and staff, providing guidance, training, quality control, and review over royalty deliverables.
  • Oversee detailed reviews of royalty statements from record labels, publishers, PROs, DSPs, distributors, administrators, and other royalty sources to identify discrepancies and recovery opportunities.
  • Ensure clients receive all contractually owed income by proactively addressing gaps, reconciling receipts, and coordinating follow-up with internal teams and external partners.
  • Review and approve complex outgoing royalty statements, including artist, producer, publisher, profit participation, mechanical, and other royalty or participation income streams.
  • Obtain mechanical licenses and oversee synchronization licenses approval process
  • Translate large, complex datasets into clear, actionable reporting and strategic insights for clients, managers, Partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed income allocation schedules, reconciliations, and analytical reports.
  • Liaise with internal account managers and staff, as well as external labels, publishers, administrators, and PROs.
  • Respond to internal and external royalty and licensing inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation, and ad hoc analytical projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5-10+ years of experience in music/entertainment royalties, ideally within a business management, consulting, or audit environment
  • Deep knowledge of copyright law, royalty structures, and global collection societies
  • Proven experience leading a team
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
  • Experience with royalty/accounting software systems strongly preferred
