This role is perfect for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting caregivers, facilitating smooth operations, and helping our team provide the best possible care to clients.
Position Overview
The Staff Coordinator will play a key role in scheduling, onboarding, training, coaching, assist with recruiting, and managing HR-related tasks for our caregiving team. You will work closely with staff and leadership to ensure that all staffing needs are met efficiently and that our caregivers are supported in their roles. Your work will directly impact the quality of care our clients receive and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. This position will start as part-time with the possibility to expand to full-time. Working hours will be Mon- Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm with an occasional Saturday for staff meetings and an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Assist with Sourcing, screening, and recruiting qualified caregivers and healthcare staff.
- Assist with conducting interviews and hiring decisions.
- Assist with Managing the new hire onboarding process, including paperwork, orientation, and ensuring compliance with training and credentialing requirements.
- Coaching & Training:
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to new and existing staff to ensure success in their roles.
- Assist with organizing and conducting regular training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Scheduling:
- Work with nurse to coordinate and create caregiver schedules to ensure optimal coverage for all clients.
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or changes to meet both client and caregiver needs.
- Track caregiver attendance and monitor timekeeping for payroll purposes.
- HR & Compliance:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including certifications, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assist with employee performance management, providing feedback and support for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, maintaining staff certifications and other required documentation.
- Team Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between caregivers, clients, and management to foster a positive, supportive, and efficient team environment.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve staffing or scheduling issues and ensure that client needs are met.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving agency processes and operations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- Experience in staffing, recruiting, scheduling, or HR tasks, preferably in the healthcare or home care industry preferred.
- Previous experience in coordinating teams, conducting training, or supporting staff development is a plus.
- CNA, Caregiving, or Home Care experience a plus
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Critical Thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and support team members.
- Proficient in using scheduling software, HR tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
