Purpose:
We are seeking a reliable Pickup & Delivery Driver to support our laundry service operations by completing scheduled pickup and delivery routes for residential and commercial customers. This role is responsible for providing timely, accurate, and professional service while safely operating a company-provided vehicle and supporting in-store processing as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary:
• Operate a company-provided branded delivery van to complete scheduled pickup and delivery routes.
• Pick up soiled laundry orders from residential and commercial customers and deliver completed clean orders accurately and on time.
• Load and unload laundry bags and customer orders safely and efficiently at the beginning and end of each shift and throughout daily routes.
• Verify order details, bag counts, and delivery information to ensure accurate service at every stop.
• Provide professional, friendly, and courteous customer service during all customer interactions.
• Use company-provided route management software, GPS/navigation tools, and mobile devices to manage stops, communicate updates, and complete route tasks.
• Service recurring commercial accounts, including but not limited to gyms, salons, medical offices, Airbnb hosts, and daycares, according to established schedules.
• Navigate assigned service areas efficiently, including residential neighborhoods, apartment communities, and business locations.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any vehicle maintenance, damage, or safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws, company driving standards, and vehicle safety procedures.
• Assist store team members with wash/dry/fold processing, sorting, folding, bagging, and order staging when not actively completing route assignments.
• Support store operations by unloading pickup orders upon return and preparing items for processing.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper care of customer items at all times.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and service expectations.
• Immediately report customer concerns, delivery issues, accidents, or discrepancies to management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned. Processing laundry onsite is required as a secondary duty.
Position Qualifications Knowledge/Experience:
• Previous delivery, courier, route driving required.
  • customer service experience preferred.

• Experience operating cargo vans or similar vehicles preferred.
• Working knowledge of smartphone applications, GPS/navigation systems, and route management tools.
• Basic understanding of customer service principles and professional communication.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with the Houston area, especially the Energy Corridor, Briar Forest, Eldridge, and Alief areas, preferred.

Education:
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, including no major violations within the past
three years.
• Minimum of three years of driving history required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet commercial vehicle insurance requirements.
• Must be eligible to drive under the company's insurance guidelines.
• A pre-employment background check, including criminal history and driving record verification, is required as a condition of employment.
Physical Requirements:
• Position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
• Regular lifting and carrying of laundry bags weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Repetitive loading and unloading of customer orders throughout the shift.
• Frequent entry and exit from company vehicle during route stops.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Moderate physical activity throughout the workday.
Nature and Scope:
• Position reports to Store Manager and/or Area Manager.
• Position does not have direct reports.
• Schedule is full-time, generally 32+ hours per week, with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as business needs require.
• Company vehicle is provided for route work.
• Company vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and front, rear, interior, and cargo cameras for safety, accountability, and liability protection.
