Operations Specialist — Freight Forwarding & Supply Chain

Location: 77489 SW Houston

Work Type: Full-time, on-site

Salary: $55,000–$75,000 DOE

Languages: English and Spanish required; Mandarin Chinese a plus


We’re hiring a Logistics Operations Specialist with freight forwarding, import/export, and shipment coordination experience for an on-site role in ZIP code 77489.


This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating shipments from booking through final delivery. You’ll work closely with carriers, truckers, warehouses, customs brokers, 3PL partners, and clients to keep freight moving and communication clear.


Please note: This is an on-site role in ZIP code 77489. The commute is best suited for candidates in or near Southwest Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Bellaire, Meyerland, Sharpstown, or surrounding areas.


What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate ocean, air, and ground shipments from booking to delivery.
  • Prepare and review import/export documents, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and ISF paperwork.
  • Track shipments, update status logs, and proactively communicate delays or issues.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and 3PL partners.
  • Support warehouse and 3PL activity, including inbound receiving, inventory accuracy, relabeling, and urgent outbound shipments.
  • Assist with trade compliance needs such as HTS classification and AD/CVD awareness.


What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, import/export, warehousing, or supply chain.
  • Working knowledge of import/export documentation and Incoterms.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces.
  • Fluent English and Spanish required.
  • Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
