About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable School Portrait Photographers to capture high-quality school portraits and create memorable picture-day experiences for students, parents, and faculty throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. Equipment and comprehensive training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for photographers who take pride in their work and enjoy working with students and faculty in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
  • Photograph students and consistently capture high-quality, memorable images.
  • Arrive punctually at schools and properly set up photography equipment before picture-day sessions.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow to keep picture days running smoothly and on schedule.
  • Create a positive, professional, and energetic experience for students, parents, and school staff.
  • Accurately enter and manage student information within photography software.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and professional guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the portrait team and assist with additional duties as needed.
  • Travel to schools throughout the DMV area up to 60 miles or more and work both before and during school hours, with some afternoon and evening sessions.
Qualifications
  • Prior portrait photography experience required; online portfolio must be submitted with application.
  • Available to work through November.
  • Comfortable working with children; prior experience with children preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, professional, energetic, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a consistent workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, with shifts potentially beginning as early as 6:00 AM.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required; rideshare transportation is not acceptable.
  • Willingness to travel to schools throughout the DMV area.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
