Position Summary

The Material Coordinator performs support tasks for the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Entering data into SAP database about quantities of issued and transferred parts
  • Resolving job/segments shortage discrepancies
  • Receiving manufactured parts into stock and issue out to upcoming jobs
  • Assisting in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency
  • Identifying parts through the use of UKG and drawings
  • Update daily Sr. Management on status of shortages on the segments
  • Investigate missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders
  • Monitor and keep an updated shortage list available for the Shipping Management team
  • Work with every department to resolve shortages to close job/segments in time
  • Inform shipping of any findings to help segments ship on time
  • Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
  • Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • UKG/SAP experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including including Word and Excel
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Technical orientation
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
    Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

ADA Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.   • Visual Acuity: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

    necessarily from temperature changes.
