The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning. Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program and available for an alternating rotating semester schedule. Masters level students will not be considered. This first rotation begins August 2026 for the 3-semester rotation and the student will be working full-time hours Monday through Friday on-site at our Lafayette, Indiana location. Expected graduation date should be 2028 or later to allow enough time for 3 working semesters alternating with 3 school semesters. This is a paid position but we don't offer housing assistance so candidates local to the Lafayette, IN area are preferred.
Student Objectives/Responsibilities:
oSupport the development of advanced AI Laser and IV Vision System
o Support the development of Automation Systems for production
o Analyze production processes for robotics integration reducing takt time.
o Utilize advanced Data Analytics like Power Query, MS Power BI, MS Fabric for our mTAMs (Mechanical Tooling Asset Management System)
o Review and storage of CAD tooling models for new molds
o Project status verification and manufacturer process verification
o Increase technical skills by such as CNC Machining, Destructive testing, Cycle Testing, Soldering of through hole and SM components.
o eTAMS (electrical tools) data entry, review, and analysis.

Co-op applicants must be undergraduate students working towards their Bachelors degree in Engineering
