Description

As an Engineering Co-op, you'll work alongside experienced engineering professionals to gain hands-on experience in the sand casting industry. This role offers valuable exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills while contributing to real-world engineering projects. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing operations through process control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with product and process development projects focused on improving quality, reducing costs, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, update work instructions, and contribute to engineering reports and project documentation.
  • Learn and apply industry standards, quality systems, and best practices related to sand casting and manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects that support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related field

Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree course work

Individual should be a rising sophomore (at minimum) when co-op begins

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future
