Position Summary:

Perform daily inventory cycle counts, resolve database discrepancies, establish rules to reduce product loss. Functions as a subject matter expert in all warehouse operations including proficiency with the Oracle system. Have a high degree of accurcy in all duties performed. 

Works closely with Material Handlers in the Inventory Control and RMA operations. Ensure operators are using methods that maintain inventory accuracy at the item and location level. Recommend to Logistics Manager any changes to operating procedures or building layout that would improve the accuracy of the inventory.

Serves as a key resource and backup leader for the Logistics Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts of inventory to verify accuracy at the item and location level.
  • Evaluate stock turnover rates and historical trends. Finds root causes for inventory errors and shrink. Implement corrective actions. Collaborates on replenishment needs and safety stock levels.
  • Partner with Material Handlers, Logistics Manager and RMA operations to support efficient warehouse layout and implement changes that improve inventory accuracy.
  • Identify, research, and correct database discrepancies in Oracle.
  • Serve as the functional expert on all warehouse operations, ensuring duties are performed efficiently and accurately.
  • Evaluate stock turnover rates and analyze historical trends to identify opportunities for improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on replenishment needs and safety stock level planning.
  • Maintain personal performance (accuracy and efficiency) consistent with Ergotron's business objectives.
  • Properly place and position material in storage locations to ensure material safety and prevent damage.
  • Be available for other duties as required at the direction of theLogistics Manager or other management.
  • Maintain housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
  • Safely and effectively operate power equipment and perform daily equipment inspections.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that supports the maintenance of an accurate inventory.   
  • Supports "Lean Business Enterprise" initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
  • Run daily ABC cycle-count lists and verify inventory accuracy/counts.
  • Trouble shoot initial inventory inaccuracies.
  • Support Manufacturing inventory.
  • Daily address and correct Negative On-Hand report
  • Generalize and analyze inventory reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Act as lead in the absence of the Logistics Manager, providing direction, leadership and support to the team.
  • Supports audits and ensure warehouse inventory accuracy, locations, control policies and procedures are correct.
  • Additional duties as requested.
  • Supports site specific QMS initiatives for continuous process improvement.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • High School diploma or GED. BA/BS preferred. 
  • 8 or more years of experience working in a warehouse position.
  • 4 years of inventory control/analytics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, cycle counting and RMA process.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends and determine root causes
  • Proficiency with Oracle (or comparable ERP/WMS) inventory system,
  • Ability to arrive at work on time, plan time off requests, and be available for over-time as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate fork trucks and secure/maintain the proper certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to train and coach warehouse staff.
  • An ability to think clearly, take initiative, prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Working competence with personal computers including Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to stand, walk and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
