Senior Assistant Product Manager

Role Details
The Senior Product Management Assistant serves as a key business partner to multiple Senior Product Managers, providing advanced project coordination, product management support, and cross-functional leadership across multiple product categories and strategic initiatives.
This role is responsible for driving execution of complex product development activities, coordinating portfolio management processes, supporting go-to-market readiness, and ensuring alignment across Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sourcing, Operations, IT, Finance, and external partners.This position plays an integral role in supporting product lifecycle management by gathering market insights, analyzing sales and financial performance, coordinating product development activities, maintaining product information, and facilitating cross-functional communication.
Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, analytical thinking, strong business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions while supporting several Senior Product Managers with diverse product portfolios.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Product Management Support
• Provide day-to-day support for three Senior Product Managers across multiple product categories and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate execution of annual product line strategies and assortment updates.
• Develop reporting, presentations, and business analyses to support product decisions.
• Analyze sales performance, pricing, competitive activity, and product trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Assist in product line reviews, sku rationalization, and product lifecycle management.
• Monitor project timelines, action items, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
Product Development & Project Management
• Partner with sourcing, suppliers, sales, and product teams to ensure product specifications, timelines, approvals, and deliverables remain on schedule.
• Track samples, artwork, product specifications, testing, approvals, and development milestones.
• Identify project risks, escalate issues, and recommend solutions to maintain project timelines.
Sales & Marketing Enablement
• Partner with Marketing to coordinate product information, photography, catalogs, digital assets, sales tools, promotional materials, and product launch communications.
• Support Sales, Customer Service, and internal stakeholders by providing timely product information, issue resolution, and ongoing communication regarding product changes.
• Assist in preparing training materials, product presentations, competitive comparisons, and launch documentation.
• Coordinate product information across systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
Cross Functional Team Support
Facilitate cross-functional meetings by preparing agendas, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and driving follow-up activities.
• Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, improve communication, and strengthen execution across the product organization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, and best practices within Product Management.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business/Marketing/Product Development or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Product Management, Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, or a related business function.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle management, assortment planning, pricing strategy, and new product development processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, financial, and market data to support business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence without direct authority across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to anticipate business needs, proactively solve problems, and independently drive projects to completion.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Finance, IT, and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering diverse perspectives, collaborative problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Desktop publishing experience
  • Experience supporting multiple Product Managers or business leaders simultaneously.
  • Experience with product information management (PIM), ERP systems, PLM systems, or other product management tools.
  • Experience within consumer products, retail, apparel, jewelry, graduation products, promotional products, or manufacturing environments.
