Job description

Client Service Associate โ€“ Fixed Income

Our client, a large financial services company, is seeking a Client Service Associate โ€“ Fixed Income for a 12+ month contract assignment in Chicago, IL. Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Hours: 8:30 AM โ€“ 5:30 PM The role sits within the Global Client Group and supports Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms, Financial Advisors, and institutional stakeholders, rather than direct end-investor clients. This position plays a key role in delivering a seamless client experience across onboarding, account maintenance, reporting, and ongoing servicing. It requires strong communication skills, a highly collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Strong client-facing communication skills are essential, as the role regularly interacts with RIAs and Financial Advisors. A strong team-oriented approach is critical, with the ability to support wherever needed and manage competing priorities. Financial services experience is strongly preferred, and Fixed Income exposure is a plus, as it supports deeper understanding of client activity and internal workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Support client onboarding and offboarding for RIA firm relationships
  • Manage account maintenance (updates, agreements, fee schedules, documentation)
  • Respond to inquiries from Financial Advisors and RIA partners
  • Coordinate with Legal, Operations, and Trading teams to execute client requests
  • Support client reporting, presentations, and meeting materials
  • Handle cash flow requests and related processing
  • Maintain accurate client data in CRM systems (Salesforce a plus)
  • Track and resolve client support requests and escalate issues when needed
  • Ensure timely execution of all service-related deliverables across the client lifecycle
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in financial services, client service, operations, or banking
  • Experience working with RIAs, Financial Advisors, or institutional clients preferred
  • Fixed Income exposure strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (intermediate), and PowerPoint
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable
