Job description

Opportunity

RIA Operator/Senior Wealth Advisor

Location

On-site Austin, TX (hybrid may be considered)

Who We Are

Skyline Wealth Strategies (SWS), a growing family office platform serving 200+ high-net-worth families (HNWFs) with $5โ€“$50M balance sheets, is seeking a licensed RIA Operator / Senior Wealth Advisor to install, operate, and serve as the responsible person for the firmโ€™s new Registered Investment Advisor entity. This is a key leadership hire with long-term ownership potential who will integrate the RIA offering into Skylineโ€™s overall wealth platform and serve our families with fiduciary excellence.

What We're Building

SWS is positioning itself as the go-to wealth partner for HNWFs focused on tax-efficient legacy planning, retirement distribution strategies, and institutional-grade alternative investments. Our model integrates wealth planning, insurance, annuities, private credit, and real estate offerings via Noble Capital. This next phase will install a fully licensed RIA entity โ€” separate, properly governed, and operated under its own regulatory structure โ€” with Fidelity and Schwab as custodians. We will leverage a third-party institutional platform to power all asset management recommendations using subadvised and separately managed strategies. There will be no internal investment products or self-managed assets.

Role Summary
  • Hold or qualify to hold the RIA license and serve as the responsible person / operator
  • Serve as the lead advisor for new and existing managed account clients
  • Partner with Skyline on family onboarding, planning, and managed allocations
  • Oversee fiduciary compliance and collaborate with fractional or outsourced CCO partner
  • Build an RIA operation that scales with Skylineโ€™s planning-led front office
Ideal Background
  • Active Series 65 or equivalent registration
  • Experience managing HNW advisory relationships ($1Mโ€“$25M accounts)
  • Comfortable working with turnkey platforms, outsourced CIOs, and third-party SMAs
  • Previous RIA or IAR experience preferred (including startup or tuck-in experience)
  • Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative planning-first environment
Compensation
  • Competitive base salary
  • Incentive comp tied to AUM growth and client satisfaction
  • Long-term equity participation in the new RIA entity
  • Why This Role
  • This is a rare opportunity to:
  • Build an RIA from scratch, with full compliance and platform support
  • Join a family office platform backed by a full accelerator (LevelUp)
  • Work alongside elite advisors and planning professionals
  • Serve as the responsible advisor for a meaningful book of business
  • Help set the tone and fiduciary standard for a next-gen family office
