Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Sales Operations & Analytics will partner closely with the SVP of Client Development Sales Revenue & Operations and the Head of Direct Client Development to optimize Mercer Advisors' revenue engine through rigorous sales analytics, pipeline visibility, and performance insights. This role is responsible for developing data-driven strategies that improve pipeline conversion, segmentation, forecasting accuracy, and sales productivity across the direct-to-consumer business.
This leader will strengthen Mercer Advisors' ability to evaluate sales effectiveness, understand funnel health, and identify levers that improve win rates and revenue performance. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in sales analytics, revenue operations, and cross-functional partnership within growth-oriented organizations.
Essential Job Functions for this role include:
Pipeline Performance & Funnel Analytics
• Own end-to-end sales funnel analytics-from lead engagement through opportunity creation, pipeline movement, and closed-won outcomes.
• Monitor stage-by-stage conversion, velocity, leakage, and capacity utilization to surface trends and diagnose performance gaps.
• Develop segmentation frameworks (persona, channel, deal size, advisor, territory) to guide investment and prioritization.
• Build win/loss analytics and incorporate qualitative insights to identify drivers of sales success and barriers to closing. Sales Optimization & Strategic Insights
• Identify opportunities to improve sales productivity, including advisor capacity, outreach cadences, touchpoint effectiveness, and territory structures.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on pipeline mix, revenue forecasting, lead routing efficiency, and deal quality. • Build predictive and diagnostic models that improve forecast accuracy, identify at-risk pipeline segments, and enhance prioritization.
• Recommend optimization strategies based on data (e.g., improved scoring, better routing, targeted enablement, churn risk mitigation). Reporting, Dashboards & Data Governance
• Own the design and evolution of sales dashboards in Power BI and Salesforce to support leadership visibility. • Ensure consistent definitions and data quality across reporting environments.
• Partner with BI, Finance, and Marketing Ops to ensure data integrity, resolve reporting discrepancies, and enhance automation.
• Build new analytical views to support strategic decision-making (pipeline aging, forecast scenarios, rep productivity, segmentation reports). Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Support
• Deliver executive-level insights on funnel performance, revenue pacing, pipeline health, and operational risks.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Leadership, BI, and Finance to drive coordinated improvements in lead generation and sales execution.
• Translate analytical findings into business recommendations with clear owners, timelines, and measurable impact.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 10+ years in sales operations, revenue operations, sales analytics, or marketing analytics in a data-driven environment.
• Expertise in Salesforce, Power BI, SQL/Python (preferred), and advanced Excel.
• Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, segmentation, and sales KPIs.
• Experience supporting high-velocity or multi-stage sales processes.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to tell a story using data.
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and executive presence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced growth environment.
Work Schedule:
This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Working Conditions:
Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 20 lbs.

Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant's geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors' incentive compensation programs.
Base Pay Range
$106,250-$120,000 USD
