Managing Director, Wealth Management Product
Who we are looking for?
The role of Managing Director, Product Management is a hands- on product management position with the Wealth Management team at Charles River Development. The candidate will provide business leadership and provide managerial coordination of strategic product initiatives across the department, including product planning and execution of various elements of these initiatives. Scope of work involves developing a market leading Wealth Management platform, including features surrounding multi-asset class model construction, portfolio management and tracking, proposal generation, portfolio risk, and other ancillary value-added capabilities that would service all types of wealth management organizations. Candidate will manage a team of product professionals and associated development team resources, work closely with the broader product management organization, and correspond with User Experience (U/X) and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions are constructed with maximum workflow efficiency.
The role also serves as an advocate and internal stakeholder for the product area with respect to sales engagements, implementation solutioning, and broader business development efforts.

What you will be responsible for?
As a Managing Director, Product Management in the Wealth Management department, you will be responsible for
• Shaping and executing the firm's strategic vision with respect to wealth management solutions from an organic and inorganic/partnership perspective
• Providing business leadership, design and solution building feedback, and coordinate work efforts across product and development teams
• Contributing to the near- and long-term product roadmap for enhancements including migrating aspects of the solution to cloud/version-less offerings
• Managing teams of senior product managers, product managers, and business analysts to drive towards creating market leading solutions
• Building relationships for serving as a key client touch point for feedback gathering and solution evaluation
• Evaluating potential partnerships and assisting with managing the relationship with partners as part of the Alpha Ecosystem
• Interfacing with counterparts on the technical/development side to ensure team efficiency is maximized and strategic goals are understood and executed upon
• Coordinating relationships across Client Management, Sales, Professional Services, Support, and internal stakeholders for increasing client satisfaction and product adoption
• Working closely with Marketing and Product Strategy to ensure product vision is articulated and understood
• Serving as owner of medium to large initiatives and managing them from inception to completion
What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role
• 10+ years of experience in a product management leadership role that included extensive product planning and execution
• Extensive background/experience in financial services, specifically related to wealth management industry and business functionality related to that function
• Direct experience with wealth management workflows such as model construction, portfolio management workflows for financial advisers, portfolio risk analysis, tax management, idiosyncrasies across SMA/UMA programs and third-party integrations with relevant technologies
• Exposure to software solutions such as Charles River Wealth Management platform, Blackrock Aladdin Wealth, FactSet, Envestnet, Vestmark, InvestCloud and/or firm developed solutions in this space
• Strong analytics skills and ability to receive, analyze, and design potential solutions from client/prospect requirements
• Knowledge of asset class behavior across spectrum of equity (cash/derivatives), fixed income (cash/derivatives), FX (outright/derivatives), OTC securities, cash products, and other asset classes
• General understanding of other elements of investment management solution set such as order management, compliance, data, and investment book of record
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle in terms of Agile methodology
• Excellent communication, organization, and inter/intra team planning and mobilization skills
Education & Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or Business Degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics or related)
• Advanced degree preferred - MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA, CIPM)
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
