Job description

Job Summary:
Voya Financial is committed to fighting for everyone's opportunity for a better financial future, and they are seeking a Product Manager to drive sales and advisor/client retention through the development and management of wealth management products. The role involves shaping and executing a product vision, collaborating with teams, and ensuring alignment with market trends and client needs.
Responsibilities:
• Support senior product leaders in business readiness tasks and ongoing product maintenance for advisor-focused solutions.
• Lead and own product development initiatives for wealth management offerings, balancing time, quality, cost, and benefit factors.
• Collaborate with advisor distribution teams and subject matter experts to implement new products, features, and services that enhance advisor engagement and client outcomes.
• Ensure product management incorporates competitive intelligence, advisor feedback, and end-to-end processes from proposal through implementation and ongoing servicing—addressing both external advisors/clients and internal operations.
• Work cross-functionally across Wealth Management, Retail Distribution, Operations, Sales/Advisor Management, Marketing, Compliance, and third-party partners.
• Serve as product subject matter expert for advisor-facing teams, including distribution, client relationship management, onboarding, and transition support.
• Train and develop field personnel and advisors on new and existing products, partnerships, and competitive positioning.
• Monitor market, regulatory, and industry trends in wealth management and retail distribution to identify new opportunities for product innovation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
• Series 7 and 24 licenses required. CFA and CFP preferred and may be considered in lieu of the licenses.
• Experience in wealth management product development, advisor-focused product management, or related disciplines.
• 6+ years supporting retail advisor channels, wealth management platforms, or investment solutions.
• Broad knowledge of financial products, advisor distribution models, and client servicing processes. Includes, but not limited to: UMAs, SMAs, ETFs, Mutual Funds, etc.
• Strong collaborative problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills.
• Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Familiarity with advisor technology platforms, CRM systems, and digital engagement tools; understanding of IT development processes (waterfall and agile).
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to advisors, peers, and senior leaders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Appetite for continuous learning and innovation in the wealth management space.
