Job Description
The Private Wealth Associate is an "apprentice" role within Private Wealth and can be located within Private Banking. The role is designed to teach the specific policies and operating procedures within the department (banking, fiduciary administration, investment management, in addition to project management) to the incumbent. Typically, within 24-36 months, the incumbent will transition into a role of Private Banker.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You'll partner with Private Wealth Advisors, Private Wealth Bankers, Trust Officers and Investment Managers to complete analysis, client assessments, client requests, and projects, as well as review and analyze complex client and sales information and provide recommendations.
  • You'll complete advanced departmental projects for the Market Executive, Private Banking, Investment or Trust Managers which will require you to synthesize data and perform complex analysis.
  • You'll develop both external and internal relationships, including specialty areas of the bank such as Tax, Real Estate Management, Mineral Management, Investment Management and Operations departments.

Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study or 3-4 years of experience in finance, accounting or investments or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of various securities and investment-related products and services.
  • Basic knowledge of trust concepts and application to Personal Trust.
  • Basic understanding of lending practices and policies, loan documentation requirements and regulations.
  • Ability to assess specific customer needs, recommend and offer appropriate products and prepare client and new business presentation material
  • Proficient computer skills including word processing and strong working knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills
