Job description

The Senior Analyst Benefits is responsible for delivery of U.S. and Puerto Rico benefit operations, vendor management and benefit program delivery to employees, managers, human resources business partners (HRBPs), and other stakeholders.

This position is preferred to work a hybrid schedule out of the Cary, NC office. (#LI-Hybrid)

Main Accountabilities:

  • Manage relationships and monitor performance against service level agreements with benefit carriers. Participate in benefit merger and acquisition activities as needed.

  • Collaborate with Payroll and Vendor Partners to resolve issues, with HR Information System for system testing / interface mapping and related benefit system capabilities, and with internal customers and vendors to ensure cases are resolved timely, accurately, and efficiently.

  • Lead process improvement activities and participate in quality control and audit activities.

  • Resolves complex ServiceNow cases in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators, while also providing exceptional customer service.

  • Identify and implement improvement ideas by challenging the status-quo (especially processes that are manual/repetitive).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related program with 8+ years of benefits administration experience supporting benefits programs with proven experience with Retirement plans (or equivalent technical HR background and experience)

  • Understanding of benefit laws and regulations: ERISA, Benefit Plan Reporting/Filing Requirements

  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products, with advanced skills in Excel and excellent analytical and mathematics skills

  • Critical thinking skills to investigate and resolve complex issues

  • Must be results oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • Demonstrated presentation skills

  • Must have prior experience with a Human Resources Information System

  • Must maintain confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy

  • Highly ethical, flexible, inquisitive & logical

  • Strong customer focus

  • Human Capital Management (HCM) systems experience related to Benefits

  • Workday experience is required

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $65,100 and $104,160 annually.
