Job description

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a growing organization in Fort Lauderdale. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an HR professional who can balance day-to-day employee needs with the development of strong HR processes, policies, and culture.

The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and confident handling employee relations while partnering closely with leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations and serve as the primary point of contact for employees and management
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, coaching, and workplace issues
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Administer benefits and support payroll-related HR functions
  • Maintain and update employee policies, procedures, and handbook
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Manage employee documentation, personnel files, and HR records
  • Support compensation reviews, performance evaluations, and organizational planning
  • Partner with leadership on employee engagement, retention, and company culture
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline HR processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Prior HR Manager or HR leadership experience preferred
  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution experience
  • Knowledge of Florida and federal employment laws
  • Experience with benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management
  • HRIS experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
