We’re looking for an Business Development Manager to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the role

This position is responsible for leading a team of Account Development Representatives (ADRs). As the team manager, you will oversee their training, coaching, and motivation to drive success in generating opportunities for the sales team. This includes following up on inbound leads, conducting targeted outbound calling, and executing campaigns aimed at potential clients. We are seeking an energetic and results-driven leader with strong communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor. Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and manage a high-performing team of Account Development Representatives.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering growth and potential career progression into sales or other roles within Aptean.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations to enhance productivity.
  • Manage and guide ADRs to consistently meet or exceed key performance metrics such as dials, appointments set, conversion to qualified opportunities, and sales.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all leads to maximize opportunities for converting them into viable sales prospects.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales Leaders to ensure the smooth handoff of qualified leads 
  • Develop and execute targeted strategies to increase the number of high-quality leads for the sales team, specifically within the ERP market. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align messaging, campaigns, and content that resonate with potential ERP buyers.

  • Background in Business Development or similar Pipeline Generation role with a track record of success.
  • High-energy, positive, self-motivated, and dynamic leadership style.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and sales engagement platforms.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams to exceed objectives.

  • Proven experience managing a team of Account Development Representatives.
  • Experience working in the ERP, SaaS, or tech industry. 
  • Strong understanding of modern sales techniques, including inbound marketing, account-based selling (ABS), and solution-based sales.
