A RESNA job typically refers to roles related to the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA). Professionals in this field work to improve accessibility and mobility for individuals with disabilities through assistive technology and engineering solutions. Common positions include assistive technology professionals (ATP), rehabilitation engineers, and seating and mobility specialists. They collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, and patients to assess needs and recommend adaptive equipment or solutions.

RESNA-certified Assistive Technology Professionals often encounter the challenge of staying current with rapidly evolving assistive technologies and ensuring that solutions are both effective and tailored to each individual's unique needs. Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams—including therapists, educators, and caregivers—can require strong communication and collaboration skills. Additionally, ATPs may need to navigate funding or insurance processes to secure necessary devices for clients. These challenges make adaptability and ongoing education essential to success in the role.
