Location: Near any Elevance Health PulsePoint location in Ohio.

This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

The Assistive Technology Professional is responsible for ensuring special programs are equipped to take a "Technology First" approach to meeting members' needs through person centered and customized technology solutions that are in line with the members' goals for autonomy and independence. Identifies new and emerging technology. Analyses the needs of members with disabilities and assists them with the selection of appropriate assistive technology (AT) to meet those needs and improve quality of life.

How you will make an impact:

  • Engages with internal coordination teams to evaluate opportunities for AT applications.

  • Review the member's person centered support plan to find opportunities for AT integration that support their individual goals.

  • Engages with members, housing specialist, and employment specialists to evaluate potential AT applications that could have a positive impact on employment and community living outcomes.

  • Remains current on new and emerging technology and identifies resources and its applicability to members in need.

  • Collaborates with the Provider Services organization to increase available AT vendors/providers and recommends AT vendor recruitment and equipment needs.

  • Evaluates AT requests to ensure it is appropriate and within budget.

  • Provides provider initial and refresher training on AT as needed to support coordination teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires BA/BS degree and minimum of 2 years experience in assessing and applying assistive technology for individuals or organizations or personal experience using assistive technology; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Assistive Technology Professional certification from Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of America (RESNA) preferred.

  • Experience working with Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) / waiver programs is preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $75,200 to $112,800.

Location(s): Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH.
