Job description

What You'll Doย 
As Residential Manager with Easterseals New York (ESNY) in Rochester, you will report to the Program Director and provide oversight for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside in one of two residences and attend school on the ESNY Kessler Center campus. You will coordinate care plans, manage staff, and ensure a safe and supportive environment that supports all residents' needs.

Your responsibilities will include:ย 

  • Supervising, evaluating, and monitoring community living residences and staffed programs (including home visits a minimum of two times per month).
  • Developing and monitoring individual treatment plans, including scheduling and coordinating appointments as necessary.
  • Ensuring resident participation in integrated community activities on a regular basis.
  • Providing direct care services to assist residents in meeting their personal care needs, including toileting, when necessary.
  • Participating in client-centered conferences and team, agency, staff, and other meetings as requested.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with consultants who provide therapeutic services to residents.
  • Implementing and monitoring program budgets.
  • Ensuring compliance with state certification/licensing standards, agency policies, other governing agencies' guidelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring compliance with documentation requirements including status of program goals and objectives, resident activities, monthly fire drills, incidents, monthly financial reports, etc.ย 
  • Providing emergency on-call services when needed.

You're a great fit for this role if you have:ย 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting (ideally 4+ years).
  • Willingness to provide services to people with challenging behavioral issues which may include verbal assault; physical aggression; and inappropriate sexual comments, gestures, and/or acts.
  • Administrative and supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Compensation: $62,354 Per Year
