Job description


Job Purpose

The Material Requisition Coordinator is responsible for sending out material requests, monitoring all material requests and returns, verification of materials, and making accurate transfers in the system.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Material requests and accurate accounts of records
  • Work cross functionally with all teams to build robust process
  • Perform trainings for employees including:
    1. New Hire Orientation
    2. Submitting returns
    3. Scanning materials into IMS
    4. Audits – SQF, etc. and document all trainings
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to FIFO, FEFO, HOLDS, and Expiry of materials
  • Review schedule 48 hours in advance and build 48-hour plan
  • Verify materials have arrived for production for the next shift
  • Inventory materials on hand and ensure only 4 hours of materials on the floor at a time
  • Model and support the CandyCo Safety Culture and strive for 100% safety compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have an excellent Safety record and champion a Safety culture
  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience in material handling
  • Must be a positive leader, with strong communication, and organization skills
  • English speaking (Bilingual preferred)
  • Must have strong PC skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity
  • Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
  • Past job performance must reflect dependability, maturity, initiative, positive personal demeanor and the ability to exercise good judgement
  • SAP, ROSS, PLEX, ERP or other IMS environment skills and abilities a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends
  • Ability to work on their feet 8+ hours at a time
  • A non-slip resistant work shoe must be worn

Physical Requirements

  • Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed
  • Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walking, lifting and carrying up t0 50-LBS unassisted, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
  • All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals
  • Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves
  • Requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
