Job Description

The Reporting Analyst develops, maintains, and supports enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence solutions using IBM Cognos Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Ellucian Insights, and related reporting technologies. Designs and develops reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical solutions to support operational, strategic, and regulatory reporting requirements. Writes, maintains, and optimizes SQL queries and database objects within Oracle and PostgreSQL environments. Collaborates with functional and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate information needs into effective reporting solutions. Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of institutional data while adhering to established data governance standards. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, training, and consultation related to reporting and analytics tools. Participates in the development and maintenance of data models, data integration processes, and reporting frameworks that support institutional decision-making and performance measurement.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of database and reporting concepts.
  • Proficient with Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing reports, drill-down reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Cognos Analytics or another reporting tool preferred.
  • Experience creating database views and tables for use in reporting preferred.
  • Familiarity with higher education business processes preferred.
