Job description

Position Summary:

The purpose of VMI replenishment planning is to ensure adequate stock levels at for a portfolio of distribution centers, internationally but also to a lesser extent domestically. The Replenishment Planner works in close collaboration with the Export Coordinator on their portfolio to ensure international shipments of goods are done on time and in full and give coherent explanations when this is not the case as well as evaluate impact and potential mitigating scenarios if needed. In order to promote personal development and versatility, the replenishment planner can be trained to and perform export coordination as a non-major activity.

Primary Duties:

  1. Issue stock transfer orders, and liaise with Export Coordinator to ensure adherence to plans.
  2. Lead regular meetings with subsidiary supply chain team and export coordinator to ensure alignment on the plan and adapt as necessary.
  3. Update planning parameters in SAP and analyze demand for reagents finished goods, including products in phase-in and phase-out stages.
  4. Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) on scope, identifying deviations, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Designing and improving the deployment strategy: transport modes, replenishment frequency, lead times, etc.
  6. Understand the work of export coordinator and, if assigned, be trained on a small scope of export coordination duties.
  7. Coordinate with subsidiaries and inventory managers to contribute to overall stock availability worldwide.
  8. Back-up other Replenishment Planners to ensure business continuity.
  9. Identify gaps in the Supply & Operations Planning process, and participate or drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  10. Share knowledge on role with colleagues and other stakeholders as needed.
  11. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years experience in planning, inventory management or logistics flows preferred.
  • Technical learning aptitude to quickly acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
  • Effectively deal with ambiguity requiring adaptability, critical thinking, and proactive communication to navigate situations with limited details.
  • Collect and analyze data to drive informed decision-making to improve performance and identify issues.
  • Demonstrates perseverance and a focus on outcomes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally allowing for better collaboration and communication when working across teams to achieve shared objectives.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $66,200 and $90,000. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
