Who Are We Looking For?
Our Inventory Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time while optimizing inventory investment across Superfeet's operational network. This role is responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies that balance customer service, operational efficiency, and working capital objectives.
Working cross-functionally with Demand Planning, Purchasing, Product, Sales Operations, Warehouse Operations, and Supplier Operations, you will proactively manage inventory health, replenishment, and supply risks to support business growth and exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will combine analytical expertise with sound business judgment to make data-driven planning decisions, improve inventory performance, and drive continuous improvement across planning processes.
What You'll Do:
Own Inventory Planning & Replenishment:
  • Develop and execute inventory plans that align product availability with forecasted demand and business objectives
  • Manage replenishment planning across multiple warehouse and fulfillment locations
  • Establish and maintain planning parameters including inventory targets, safety stock levels, reorder points
  • Monitor inventory health and proactively resolve risks related to stockouts, excess inventory, aging inventory and obsolescence.

Drive Supply Planning Decisions:
  • Translate demand forecasts into executable inventory and replenishment plans
  • Evaluate supplier lead times, capacity constraints, and order timing to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Recommend inventory actions that support new product launches, promotions, seasonal demand, and product lifecycle transitions.
  • Identify potential supply risks and develop mitigation strategies before customer service is impacted.

Partner Across the Business:
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales Operations, Product Management, Finance, Warehouse Operations and Supplier Operations to align planning strategies with business priorities.
  • Communicate risks, constraints, and recommended actions to stakeholders to support informed business decisions.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain team on quarterly supplier reviews to ensure sourcing issues are identified and addressed.

Foster Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain accurate inventory master data and ensure integrity of inventory planning parameters
  • Improve planning processes, reporting capabilities, and system utilization to increase planning efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supply chain effectiveness

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Needed:
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, replenishment methodologies, safety stock optimization, lead times, MOQ, and inventory control principles.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable planning decisions
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working within ERP or supply chain planning systems
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to work and continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Analytics or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory planning, supply planning, materials planning, replenishment planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing inventory across multiple locations and product portfolios
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, make planning decisions, and improve inventory performance

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000/Year DOE
Location: This role is PNW-based - Candidates are not required to live in Whatcom County, but regular travel to our Ferndale, WA office is required.
