JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Division of Arts and Humanities at Penn State Abington is seeking a part-time instructor to teach individual vocal lessons beginning August 2026. This is a one semester, non-tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Candidates with a student-centered, innovative, and engaging approach to teaching are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties
  • Teach up to two sections of VOICE 100, Voice Secondary per semester.
  • VOICE 100: individual instruction in voice. Sessions are one-half hour per week.
  • Work with students to develop individual, weekly lesson schedules agreeable to both the student and the instructor.
  • Prepare students for campus recital each semester.
  • Depending on expertise, additional opportunities for teaching instrumental lessons may be available.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant field strongly preferred; equivalent professional experience or training will be considered.
  • Experience teaching at the college level is highly desirable.
