Job description

Fix9 Setter - Remote Phone Sales (1099)
Location: 100% remote (US hours)
Type: Independent contractor (1099), commission-only
Pay: $10-$100 per closed deal, paid out weekly once you hit $300
Training: Fully paid, AI-driven training center - learn at your pace, get certified, then go live
The job in one sentence
You call home service companies, have a real conversation, and text them a link. Our website closes the deal and you get paid - you never touch a credit card.
What you'll actually do
  • Work an assigned list of home service companies (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and more).
  • Pick up the phone and call business owners and decision-makers.
  • Run a short, honest discovery conversation - understand who they are and whether Fix9 is a fit.
  • Send a tracked Fix9 link by text. That's it. The site handles checkout, account setup, and everything after.
  • Log each call, set follow-ups, and track whether your link converted.
  • You are not a closer. You are not a card-taker. You are the opener - the voice that earns the right to send the link.
What we sell (and what you earn)
OfferCustomer priceYour commissionVerified Fix9 Profile (annual)$24/year$10Fix9 Flow (monthly)$20/month$10Fix9 Flow (annual)$200/year$100
You keep 100% of your attribution. If you sent the link that led to the sale, the commission is yours.
What we're looking for
  • A clear, confident English-speaking voice. This is the single most important thing. You'll be the first Fix9 voice a business owner hears.
  • Comfort on the phone - you can hold a real conversation, not just read a script.
  • Self-motivated and reliable. Nobody micromanages you; your call activity and your links speak for themselves.
  • A quiet place to call from, a smartphone, and solid internet.
  • Prior phone sales, appointment-setting, or call-center experience is a plus, not a requirement. We've trained great setters from bartending, teaching, and customer service.
How the money works (no fine print)
  • You earn a commission the moment a customer's payment settles on a link you sent.
  • Commissions stay "pending" through the standard chargeback hold, then become "payable."
  • Your first payout unlocks at $300 payable. After that, every payout unlocks at $300.
  • Payouts run through Stripe - you'll set up a free Stripe Connect account when you're ready. We never see or store your tax info; Stripe handles all of that.
  • You're a 1099 independent contractor. You control your hours and your tax situation.

How training works
No classroom. No travel. You learn inside the Fix9 AI Training Center:
  1. Product & market - what Fix9 is, who we sell to, and why home service companies buy.
  2. Script & objections - the exact opener, the three objections you'll hear every day, and how to handle each.
  3. AI roleplay - practice against realistic AI call partners that play tough business owners. Get scored on tone, pacing, and accuracy. Repeat until you're clean.
  4. Shadow training - listen to live calls from experienced setters. Hear what a good set actually sounds like.
  5. Certification - pass a short product quiz, a compliance check (never collect card details), and one clean roleplay.
  6. Sales floor - you're live, on your own assigned list, with your first five sets reviewed call-by-call.

Most setters go from application to first call in under two weeks. Your first commissioned set is the goal - we target it within 10 business days of going live.
How to apply
Forget resumes. Apply with a 30-180 second voice recording:
  1. Go to the Fix9 audition page.
  2. Record a short voice (or video) answering one question: "Tell us about a time you talked someone into something - anything - and how it went."
  3. Answer seven quick qualifiers (hours, equipment, internet).
  4. Hit submit.

That recording is your interview. If your voice and your story land, you'll hear from us within 24 hours. No cover letters. No résumé reviews. No waiting.
