Job description

United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. United Ag & Turf serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, golf & sports turf as well as, consumers. United Ag & Turf strives for exceptional customer experience throughout all our locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation.
Golf & Sports Turf Sales Representatives sells new and used golf and sports turf equipment to new and existing customers.
Essential Functions
The following are essential functions of this position:
  • Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales territory.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management.
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process.
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of basic lease and financing strategies to assist customers with securing the equipment needed to maintain their facility in the most efficient manner.
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly.

Physical Demands
This position requires minimal physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including:
Talking and hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit; walk, type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  • 1+ years' experience in the golf & sports turf industry preferred
  • Knowledge of specialty turf equipment and standard golf course operations is preferred
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • College degree is preferred
  • Excellent driving record and ability to pull a trailer
