FocusPoint is recruiting for a confidential a large multi‑entity organization with a centralized accounting mode seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support high‑volume journal entry accounting and month‑end close activities. This fully remote role is built for an accountant who thrives in a structured close cycle, enjoys partnering across distributed teams, and brings disciplined accuracy to every entry.

The Role

You will serve as a key contributor to the organization’s financial operations, owning journal entry preparation, review, validation, and analysis. You’ll work closely with facility teams and liaison groups to ensure entries are supported, approved, and aligned with close timelines. This is a role for someone who values precision, consistency, and the satisfaction of clean, reliable financial work.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare, review, and validate journal entries with complete support and documentation.

  • Manage monthly journal entry volume across multiple facilities or ledger areas.

  • Partner with liaison teams to execute month‑end close on schedule.

  • Perform general ledger and subledger analysis using reporting tools.

  • Research and troubleshoot accounting questions for facility teams.
