Description:Finance and Accounting Executive – CPA Required

Gurr Brothers Construction is a multi-branded, national leader in restoration, mitigation, contents pack out and storage, and reconstruction. With150+ locations in over 30 states and a rapidly expanding footprint, we are entering a critical phase of growth supported by private equity partners and an active mergers & acquisitions strategy.

As we prepare for continued expansion, private equity sponsorship, and elevated board reporting requirements, we are building out a more sophisticated Finance and Accounting infrastructure, and we are seeking a Finance and Accounting Executive who is ready to step into a role with significant responsibility, visibility, and impact.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations including general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and compliance procedures
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
• Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key financial metrics
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to company leadership
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
• Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
• Build, mentor, and lead accounting and finance team members as the organization grows Requirements


Required Qualifications

• Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license – required
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial compliance, and regulatory standards
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial operations
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mid-sized or growing organizations
• Experience implementing or optimizing accounting systems or ERP platforms
• Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
