DESCRIPTION:

Join the North America Digital Remote Services (DRS) Technical Support team and provide advanced remote technical support for Thermo Fisher Scientific's Ion Chromatography (IC), Sample Preparation (SP), Liquid Chromatography (LC/HPLC), and Discrete Industrial Analyzer (DIA) product portfolio.

As a Technical Support Specialist III, you will partner with customers and Field Service Engineers to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and application issues using remote diagnostic technologies. You will collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Field Service to improve remote resolution, support new product introductions, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience supporting analytical instrumentation, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related scientific or technical discipline preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Ion Chromatography (IC) and Sample Preparation (SP) instrumentation in a technical support, field service, or laboratory environment; experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience using Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System for instrument control, method development, data acquisition, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills involving analytical instrumentation, hardware, software, and laboratory applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers and colleagues with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer confidence through active listening, clear communication, and effective remote troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, Field Service, Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, CRM systems, and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently, and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Additional experience supporting Liquid Chromatography (LC/HPLC), Discrete Industrial Analyzer (DIA) systems, or other analytical instrumentation is considered an asset.
