• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with mental health concerns, particularly in substance abuse treatment, to determine appropriate interventions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored specifically for substance abuse recovery.
• Provide individual psychotherapy, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and encouraging clients to engage actively in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards to ensure continuity of care and effective treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate proactively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and ensure that clients receive holistic support throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health resources and strategies to facilitate lasting recovery and mental wellness.
• Stay current with the latest research in psychology and substance abuse treatment, integrating new findings into your therapeutic practice.
• Effectively manage your caseload, meeting treatment goals while upholding the highest ethical standards in clinical practice.

In this role, you will work primarily with diverse populations grappling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. You will be instrumental in guiding clients towards recovery, aiming to address both their immediate psychological needs and long-term health goals. Your work will directly contribute to improved patient outcomes and help break the cycle of addiction and mental health challenges.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of New Jersey is essential.
• A minimum of one year of direct clinical experience focusing on substance abuse therapy and mental health is required.
• Proven knowledge of solution-based interventions and the ability to implement these effectively in clinical practice.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration with colleagues and support staff.

While a minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in providing therapy to clients with substance use disorders will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and compliance standards is advantageous.
