Job description

This position can be remote, but candidates MUST be located in our business footprint. Those areas include: TN, AL, KY, GA.Job Summary
Responsible for oversight, workflow management, and the preparation of all required paperwork necessary for the compliant and efficient closing of mortgage, construction, and in-house mortgage loans.
Essential Functions
  • Coordinates the workflow for the mortgage closing process and document preparation.
  • Prepares closing instructions and other required documentation. Delivers preliminary instructions to appropriate settlement office and coordinates closing date.
  • Prepares all required documents required in order to properly close a loan, delivers the closing package to the designated party for signatures.
  • Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents, such as title abstract and insurance forms.
  • Reviews approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing,
  • Reviews documentation for compliance, which includes RESPA and Regulation Z compliance, BSA compliance, adherence to loan closing conditions, adherence to document expiration dates
  • Responsible for follow up for documentation exceptions to corrections to legal documentation and follow up for missing documentation
  • Adheres to all rules and regulations applicable to this position.
  • Performs all other duties that may be assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of two years mortgage closing experience
  • Excellent, organizational, telephone etiquette, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work accurately with detailed information.
  • PC proficiency with working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions, use good judgment and apply established policies and procedures.
